Training Catalogue and Calendar

  • Participants will examine and work through criteria, policy, problem-solving, decision-making and strategies for collecting, using, disclosing and protecting personal information within your public body in alignment with the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).

  • Participants will focus on the processes, problem-solving and decision-making involved in administering the public’s right of access to information in your public body as a requirement under the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).

    Scheduled Dates: March 7, 2024 | June 6, 2024 | November 14, 2024

    Cost: $500 per participant

  • Participants will focus on the structures, policies, processes, problem-solving and decision-making involved in developing and implementing an effective program to implement the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) in your public body.

    Scheduled Dates: March 14, 2024 | June 13, 2024 | November 21, 2024

    Cost: $300 per participant

  • This half-day workshop will be presented live on-line. The course will present key principles and rules of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) along with scenarios and examples relevant to the world of governing and elected officials.
