Cenera Celebrates 24 Years

Cenera Celebrates 24 Years

December is a natural time to reflect on what was and anticipate what will be.

This December, as we approach the end of a year unlike any other, Cenera is celebrating 24 years in business. Since our humble beginnings, we have come a long way and have witnessed a lot of change – both within our firm and throughout the industry. We’ve learned that being a small business in Alberta requires a great deal of resilience, grit and determination. But above all else, our success is really about our people.

The Cenera Story

In 1996, three professionals left partnerships in a major consulting / accounting firm and invested their life savings and energies into Canadian Career Partners. Those founding Partners were Clive MacRaild, Gary Agnew and Bruce Green. In 1998, the partnership expanded to include Debra Johnstone and Jerry Stilson, and in 2001, after continued business success, Bruce Wade joined the leadership team.

In 2004, as a result of business growth and the acquisition of a privacy consulting firm, Canadian Career Partners became Cenera, a name born out of the Esperanto language meaning to link. “Cenera’s vision has always been to link with our clients to create solutions,” said founding Partner, Gary Agnew, when asked about the name.

Cenera has grown in stature to become a trusted advisor to organizations in Calgary and Western Canada needing human resources and business support. The new generation of Partners includes Jennifer Doiron, Joan Dunlop, Rick Klumpenhouwer, Glenn Tibbles and Pam Corbett. Cenera also works closely with Career Partners International, a member-owned alliance formed in 1978 that has over 140 offices around the world.

Thank You to Our Employees

Over the years, the Cenera family has grown from a small group of professionals to a best-in-class team of employees. We truly believe that our people are our greatest asset. Without our committed employees, we would not be the firm we are today. You are essential to our success and our clients’ success, and we are infinitely grateful for your dedication and contributions.

Thank You to Our Clients

One of our greatest benchmarks is the high repeat business we receive from our existing client base. We know you choose Cenera based on integrity, responsiveness, high quality of service and the establishment of trusting relationships. It has been an honour and privilege to work with such high calibre business leaders and professionals over the years. Our goal has been, and always will be, to support you in achieving and exceeding your business objectives. Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in us.

As we look ahead to 2021, we thank those who included Cenera in their business story over the past 24 years and look forward to successful partnerships in the future. Wishing all of you the happiest and safest holiday seasons. Take care and stay safe in these uncertain times.

With sincere gratitude and appreciation,

Your friends at Cenera
